Kids Swimming

Let’s Dive in Swim School is an affiliated Swim England swim school delivering fun, safe and inspiring swimming lessons following the National Plan for Teaching Swimming and Wavepower, Swim England’s safeguarding procedures.

Kids Courses

LDI offers Happy Hippos programme from babies to 4 years developing water confidence with parents in the pool. 

 Children then progress into our Foundation stage using a swim fin for aiding their body position. Then they progress through the Swim England Learn to Swim Stages as they learn to travel and master each of the 4 strokes.

Did you know… If your swimmer has passed Stage 4 we can offer progression all the way through our Development, Bronze, Silver and Gold Swim squads. (see info below)

If your swimmer wishes to continue with us after Stage 5 but not join our swim squads we run our LDI Aquatic Skills sessions which cover swimming for fitness, diving, water polo and Rookie Lifeguard.

A number of our swimmers Stage 3 upwards also take part in synchronised swimming around their swim lessons.

We work to the Swim England ‘Learn to Swim Framework’.

Swimmer pathway from stage 4 upwards

The LDI team are keen to progress our stronger swimmers into our Train to Train and Train to Compete programme in line with Swim England guidelines.

Ed our lead teacher for our performance swimmers and has furthered his qualifications to become a level 2 swim club coach.

 Swimmers will progress through our Development squads through to the different coloured swim squads. Squads are coordinated across the whole programme.
